12 Ga. Shell Holder/Rivet Mount
|

 This shotshell holder is from the tactical shotgun world and currently available only for 12 ga. shells. For those of you who shoot a 12, this holder has two flanges that take 1/8 pop rivets, usually with a washer on one side on soft goods like coats or vests. On webbing and nylon fabrics an awl can be heated up with a torch to melt rivet-sized holes. We like to put the washer on the outside to allow the smooth part of the rivet against the body. Made of rugged molded plastic, it holds shells well enough that we have mounted these upside down without problems. We've used these on the WingWorks Sternum Harness on the Hypalon patch left side for right handers, right side for lefties. It's an easy grab across the body for two shells aimed at the proper angle to easily release from the holder. We're interested in other applications that hunters find for this useful item.

 This shotshell holder is from the tactical shotgun world and currently available only for 12 ga. shells. For those of you who shoot a 12, and hunt or shoot with a Wingworks Vest, this item is a useful replacement for the 2" loop fitting that holds the loose end of the vest's 2" belt. Made of rugged molded plastic it holds shells at an easy grab angle slanting away from the shooter. We often use this as a handy spot for 2 loads of buckshot to protect the bird dogs, or a couple of stout pheasant loads when quail hunting. The split back of the holder can be worked onto most 2" belts without sliding everything else off first. There is plenty of room for most belts and another layer or two including the belt end.

Sternum Strap Harness / Large

 This is the new Sternum Strap Harness in Large that fits all WingWorks Upland Vests. Why a second harness? Since the front straps sweep back to support the side-based shell bags, some body types have issues with straps moving on the shoulders. In order to avoid a padded curved shoulder strap that might interfere with gun mounts, we used bombproof Hypalon material to create a curve to the strap. The Sternum Strap keeps the upper 2" straps inside of the gun mount zone, and the Hypalon junction redirects the 1" straps back to the shell bags. This style uses the tension of the vest load to create added structure to the vest on the body. It also connects to the same base points as the standard, but it adjusts in front differently. The 1" straps below the Hypalon junctions adjust like most backpacks do on a 1" tensionlock fitting. There is also an XL Sternum Strap Harness for larger hunters typically used on the XL and XXL Vests.  WingWorks 32 oz. Squeeze Bottles that fit in the water holsters of all WingWorks Vests. Please note that 2 of these bottles come with each vest. The bottle has a pop-up bicycle style top for watering dogs, and has a wide enough mouth to clean easily. It is the same diameter as the 32 oz. Nalgene bottles so they can be interchanged in the holsters.
